The story of why God made dogs and cats for Adam and Eve.

The Story of Adam & Eve’s Pets

Adam and Eve said, ‘Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us every day. Now we do not see you any more. We are lonesome here, and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us.’

And God said, I will create a companion for you that will be with you and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves.’

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve.
And it was a good animal
And God was pleased.

And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve and he wagged his tail.

And Adam said, ‘Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal.’

And God said, ‘I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG.’

And Dog lived with Adam and Eve and was a companion to them and loved them.
And they were comforted

And God was pleased.

And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that an angel came to the Lord and said, ‘Lord, Adam and Eve have become filled with pride. They strut and preen like peacocks and they believe they are worthy of adoration.. Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but perhaps too well.’

And God said, I will create for them a companion who will be with them and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration.’

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve.

And Cat would not obey them. And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat’s eyes, they were reminded that they were not the supreme beings.

And Adam and Eve learned humility.

And they were greatly improved.

And God was pleased . . . . . ..

And Dog was happy. . . . .

And . . . . .. . . .

. . . . . Cat didn’t give a shit one way or the other….

Ten Halloween Safety Tips courtesy of Camp Bow Wow and FasTags®

Tula the Tulip, a simple and comfortable dog costume.
Fido may look adorable in his new superhero costume, but that cape won’t necessarily keep him out of harm’s way. Dressing up your pet for Halloween can be harmful. Costumes should not constrict the animal’s movement, hearing or sight, or impede their ability to breathe, bark or meow. Also, it may be helpful to try on costumes before the big night. If your pet seems distressed or shows abnormal behavior, don’t bother.

FasTags adds that simple is best. Remember that it’s a dog or cat that you’re putting in a costume, not a stuffed animal.

Before you and Fido participate in any Halloween activities, take a closer look at his costume and make sure it does not have small, dangling or easily chewed-off pieces that he could choke on. Also, watch out for ill-fitting outfits which can get twisted on external objects or your pet, leading to injury.

Putting make-up or face paint on your pet can be harmful. Paints could potentially irritate their skin, or may be eaten. Even make-up that is non-toxic could cause stomachaches or worse.

Candy bags are strictly for the enjoyment of trick-or-treaters, not your pet. Chocolate in all forms, especially dark or baking chocolate, can be very dangerous for dogs and cats. Give your pooch their own Halloween candy by treating them to their favorite doggy snack. If you do suspect that your pet has ingested something toxic, please call your veterinarian or your local control center immediately.

Keep an eye out for decorative edible items like Halloween pumpkins and candy corn, when participating in this year’s festivities with your pet. While these are considered to be relatively nontoxic, they can be harmful, causing stomach upset in pets who nibble on them.

Do not take your pets trick or treating. It’s possible that your dog could get spooked by a ghost or goblin and a dog bite or fight could occur.

FasTags® also recommends that you make sure your dog is wearing a collar tag in addition to any microchips. If you dog is lost, many times local citizens don’t think to take them into a vet to be scanned for identification.

It is also a good idea to keep a leash handy if you are handing out candy and your dog is on the lively side. It’s easier to control them with the leash, than with your hip at the crack of your front door.

If you use a cage for your dog or cat during the evening events, be sure to take off all collars and tags before putting them inside to avoid the possibility of choking or other injuries.

Use common sense, take a few extra precautions to be safe, and have fun on you Halloween hauntings.

Hi Everyone. We’ve been informed that there will be a power outtage in our area for most or all of Thursday, November 18th, 2010. We’re very sorry that we will be unreachable by our standard phone number and fax, since no power means no phones, fax, or Internet. Hopefully, if you are trying to reach us, you will pop on here and find our note. If so, you can reach Roy at roy.fastags@gmail.com or by phone at 714-365-9530 and he will be able to assist you with pretty much anything that you need. Thanks so much for understanding.

The hacker attack that went after our server damaged our store to the point that it was safer to remove the program from the server and protect our other sites, than to leave it up and try to debug it. It’s going to take me a few days to either debug the program or build a new store, which is what I’m leaning towards, so please bear with us.

FasTags was selected by the U.S. Census Bureau and the city of Goodyear, Arizona, as a great give-away to promote the 2010 Census.

FasTags was selected by the U.S. Census Bureau and the city of Goodyear, Arizona, as a great give-away to promote the 2010 Census.

These fun and durable ID tags are custom designed and include strong co-branding messages that promote participation in the Census, the vibrant community of Goodyear, and the exciting events hosted or sponsored by the city.

City of Goodyear - Census 2010 Package

The cost of the tags is paid for through the U.S. Census MicroPurchase Partnership Program, which provides up to $2,999 to buy items to distribute at events sponsored by cities, counties, NGOs, community organizations, faith-based groups and others. There is no limit on the number of separate requests that can be made by various departments, groups, or activity leaders within a single organization. Goodyear, for example, submitted a dozen micropurchase applications, which were all approved by that city’s regional Census representative.

“We wanted something different from the ordinary give-aways like pens and sticky-notes,” said Nora Fascenelli, public information officer for the city of Goodyear. “FasTags were perfect because the vendor was able to do a custom co-branded design with Goodyear’s logo and the Census logo. There are inserts than can be printed with whatever message we want. The tags pack flat and are super lightweight to carry to event venues.”

FasTags come individually packaged. Write a name and contact info on the shrinkable, high-tech plastic, pop it in the oven for a few minutes, and tag everything from school backpacks, gym bags, and computer bags to mp3 players, digital cameras, and even the family pet. The tags start out as a nice, large surface upon which information can be easily written. After just five minutes in the oven, the tag shrinks into a lightweight, durable tag small enough for today’s compact electronics, yet big enough to be easily spotted on any airport’s luggage carousel.

Vendors are paid by credit card, directly by Census officials. That means no waiting for invoices to clear and no procurement hassles.
